A Neighborhood Pizzeria with Heart

What started as a pop-up in Venice’s Cook’s Garden has grown into Fiorelli Pizza’s first brick-and-mortar location on West Third Street, in the heart of LA near favorites like Joan’s on Third and Magnolia Bakery. Founded in March 2024 by Michael and Liz, the concept was born out of a simple idea: focus on hospitality and intention.

The menu reflects their shared vision of seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, signature brick oven pizzas, and small plates that invite sharing. From the Fiorelli Classic to inventive chalkboard specials like the octopus panino inspired by Michael’s family roots in Bari, Italy, each dish is designed to spark connection.

“Our goal is for Fiorelli Pizza to feel like a neighborhood pizzeria where people can stop by any day, day or night, and always know what to expect,” says Michael. “We focus on executing simple dishes exceptionally well, spotlighting seasonal items that inspire us, and providing hospitality that turns every visit into a shared experience.”

Michael Fiorelli

Michael Fiorelli brings a wealth of experience from Los Angeles’ acclaimed restaurants, including Olivetta and Love & Salt. With a passion for Italian-American cuisine and an eye for flavor, Michael leads Fiorelli Pizza’s kitchen with creativity and precision. His culinary style merges Neapolitan and New York-style pizza traditions with California ingredients, crafting pies that are both familiar and distinctly LA. Michael’s approach is all about hospitality through food, making every dish a communal experience.

Liz Gutierrez

As the eldest of six, Liz Gutierrez has hospitality in her DNA. Her early experiences working alongside family and friends in restaurants instilled a deep sense of care and service. Formerly the Director of Administration and HR at Boujis Group, Liz brings operational expertise, organizational skill, and a warm touch to every aspect of Fiorelli Pizza. Her vision ensures that every guest feels welcome, whether dining in, grabbing a quick takeout, or enjoying an off-site event.

Lucy Fructuozo

Lucy is our guru of both pastries and dough, creating every dessert in house with equal parts skill and heart. She and Michael work side by side perfecting our pizza dough and bringing that same care to everything coming out of the oven. A true cornerstone of our crew, Lucy keeps the kitchen running smoothly — and keeps the rest of us laughing and focused along the way.
